Address and Access
The beach address is 429 South Lakewood Drive, Ridgeley, WV 26753.
Anything with an asterisk requires a code, combination, or password. See the website for
current access information before arriving at the beach.
You, as the reserving member, are considered the event manager. You are responsible for
providing gate access instructions for your guests. Do not allow guests to use the code or fob
provided for your household. The gate automatically closes after each vehicle’s entry and cannot
be set to stay open. Designate someone to open the gate for your guests; you are responsible for
any fob misuse or unauthorized access during your reservation. The event gate access fob is
available in the shed beside the pavilion; it is in a gray wall-mounted lockbox.*

Need to Know

  • The property owner who makes the reservation is designated as the event manager
and is responsible for the actions of the attendees and ensuring guidelines are
    followed.
  • LPOA has no employees and there is no caretaker for the beach/pavilion. We rely on
property owners renting the facility to prepare the area for parties, clean up afterward,
and alert the board of anything that needs attention. Trash barrel liners are provided.
There is private property on both sides of the beach area. Please do not wander
outside of the LPOA common area.
  • ALL USE OF THE LAKE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. This includes but is not
limited to swimming, fishing, boating, and ice skating.
  • The swimming area is marked with buoys.
  • Fishing is permitted. By a general rule of thumb, fish are “catch and release.”
  • All watercraft, powered or otherwise, require a Lakewood boat permit, which is
permitted for lakefront lot owners and their guests only.
  • Restrooms have hand dryers. Toilet paper and hand soap are provided. Restrooms are
cleaned weekly. There is no emergency response if someone plugs up a toilet or
leaves a mess. Restrooms are winterized November 1st– April 1st.*
  • Grass is mowed on the same interval as the roadsides.
  • Electric outlets and light switches are marked and available for use. Do not access the
    electric panel in the storeroom.
  • Provide your own charcoal or propane for grills.
  • Folding tables are not to be put in the sand.
  • All fires must be contained within firepit stones.
  • Do not attach signs, balloons, streamers, etc., to any signs or trees.
  • Non-compostable confetti is not permitted.
